Summary
Go Ollie does not collect, sell or share your information. Starting with version 1.2, everything you enter stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud account, and we (the developer) cannot see it.
• No accounts or sign-in with us.
• No ads, no tracking, no analytics, and no third-party data tools.
• You decide who sees your family's information, through Apple's iCloud sharing.
Information the app handles
Go Ollie only handles what a parent types or chooses in the app:
• Child profiles: first name, an optional photo you pick from your library, and the time zone used for days and weeks.
• Tasks and goals: task names, points, the days they happen, and the weekly goal.
• Daily logs: which tasks were done each day, points earned, and any notes you write.
• App settings: your reminder time and display choices, kept on your iPhone.
Go Ollie does not ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts or any other personal details.
Where your information is stored
Your information is stored in two places, both controlled by you and Apple:
• On your iPhone, inside the app.
• In your iCloud account, using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) service, so it is backed up and comes back if you reinstall the app or get a new iPhone.
We do not run our own servers for Go Ollie, and we have no way to view the information in your iCloud. Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. If iCloud is turned off on your iPhone, everything stays only on that iPhone.
Sharing
Your information is only shared when you choose to share it, and always through Apple's iCloud sharing:
• Family Sharing (between parents): when you invite another parent, they can see and change your children, tasks and logs. You can stop sharing or remove them at any time in Settings → Family Sharing.
• Child's View: you can send your child a link to a view-only page of their own progress. By default, anyone who has that link can view it, so only send it to your child. You can limit it to invited people in the sharing options, and turn it off anytime in Settings.
• PDF reports: a report is created on your iPhone. It is only shared if you send it yourself, for example by email to a teacher or therapist.
We never share your information with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else.
Children's privacy
Go Ollie is made for parents and guardians. Information about a child is entered and controlled by their parent, and it stays in the parent's iCloud.
If a parent turns on Child's View, the child can only look at their own progress. They cannot enter or change anything, and Go Ollie collects nothing from the child's device. Using Child's View requires the child to have their own Apple Account, which a parent sets up through Apple's Family Sharing.
Earlier versions of Go Ollie
Versions 1.1 and earlier used Google Firebase to sync families between phones. In those versions, child profiles, tasks and logs were stored on Firebase servers, linked to an anonymous ID rather than your name.
Starting with version 1.2, Go Ollie no longer uses Firebase or sends any information to Google. After you update, your data moves to your own iCloud. We will delete the remaining Firebase data by [DATE], once people have had time to update. To ask for earlier deletion, contact us at the address below.
Other features
• Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. No information is sent anywhere to create them.
• Photos: you choose a photo with Apple's photo picker. Go Ollie only gets the photo you pick, not your library.
• Crash reports: if you have agreed to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. These help us fix problems and contain no family information.
• Go Ollie contains no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics code.
Your choices and deleting your data
You are in control of your information at all times:
1. Delete a child: Settings → Children, swipe left on the child. This removes them and their logs from your iPhone, your iCloud and any shared phones.
2. Stop sharing: Settings → Family Sharing → Stop Sharing, or Settings → your child's View → Turn Off.
3. Delete everything in iCloud: on your iPhone, go to Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage (or Manage Storage) → Go Ollie, and delete its data.
4. Delete the app: removes everything stored on that iPhone.
Because we cannot access your iCloud, we cannot see or delete that data for you; these steps are how you do it.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and describe the change in the app's release notes.
